This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's preprogrammed in your brain!
1. WITHOUT anyone watching you (they will think you are NUTS......) and while sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make Clockwise Circles.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your Right Hand. Your foot will change direction.
Waiting for guests to arrive,
Before I had a kid, I would never ever ever, tell someone with a kid what my parenting strategy will be when I have my own.
In other words, I wouldn't say, I will not run to my child when she/he is crying at night, I will only breast feed because that is the best, you get the point. I did not do that because my motto is: "you never know"!
Now, that I have a child the people who make grandiose, rigid plans for their future parenting ANNOY me!
I stopped commenting, and fighting, I just laugh to myself and think, just you wait!
I was concerned that baby Sasha was not getting enough to eat. Every book and magazine would lay out the number of ounces that she is to consume a day of different baby foods. Her doctor also told us that she should eat about 20-25 oz of milk a day.
Those of you who met my baby or seen photos know that she is not skinny by any standards. However, I was intimidated by all the ounces. If we are lucky she will drink 15oz of milk a day and she is not really that excited about eating solids, in fact sometimes she refuses all together.
So we went to the doctor, primarily to get her weighed and for some reassurance. Our regular doctor was on vacation so we saw a substitute.
Sasha weighs 17lb. She was 4 days away from being 8 months. Her height was not taken...
The doctor tells us that she is advanced. No, not gifted just advanced. Like she started crawling a long time ago and she has been walking along the furniture before she made 7 months.
Then the doctor says that she is not gaining weight as fast as other kids her age, but she is not concerned. However, suggests we increase her calorie intake. OK, so I think give her avocados, vitamins something along those lines...No! The doctor suggests french fries. Sounds healthy right?
Anyhow, I am not doing that!
1. We are small people, so why would she be big?
2. She did not measure her height...shouldn't that come into the formula somehow?
3. She herself said that the baby is more active than other babies her age so of-course she burns more calories.
4. French fries? No comment!
Husband, baby and I went to the zoo this weekend to enjoy the weather. While walking to the zoo, I noticed a couple walking next to us. I think they were just finishing their run. They were that perfect couple with no body fat, tall, in perfect jogging gear, and sexy sweat.
As they approached us from behind Barbie commented to Ken how cute our baby was. He agreed. But I could not believe the words that came out of Barbie's mouth next:
"Is she pregnant AGAIN?"
OK, so maybe I did not loose all the baby fat, but pregnant again? I think not!
I wanted to kick Barbie in the shin!
on Dancing...
